We should have done better

23 April 2016

Paul Lambert felt a mad ten minutes defensively cost Rovers' all three points at Ewood on Saturday afternoon.

After Danny Graham had fired Rovers in front, they were the dominant side in the first half but couldn't build on their advantage.

That proved costly when two goals in four minutes from Jonathan Kodjia and Aaron Wilbraham turned the match in the Robins' favour, but Graham struck his second of the match ten minutes from time to ensure the points would be shared.

"We were in total control of the game, the first half was very good," Lambert told Radio Rovers.

"We had a lot of chances, a lot of the ball. We scored a brilliant goal from Danny, a really top class finish.

"But that ten minute period were we lost two really poor goals was the story of our season. We should have done a lot better than we did.

"To be fair to them they battled back and got an equaliser. A draw was probably fair."

Rovers are back in action next Saturday when they travel to the New York Stadium to take on Rotherham United.

Tickets are on open sale priced at £23 Adults, £13 Seniors 60+, £13 (must produce valid proof of full time education), £8 Under 18’s and £6 for Under 13's.
