Matt Kilgallon has admitted that Rovers need to raise their game in the remaining two games of the season.
The experienced defender was disappointed with the way the team performed in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Bristol City, with the feeling in the camp being that they should be doing much better.
"It was very frustrating, we are playing below ourselves at the minute, we are below par," Kilgallon told Radio Rovers.
"We are all disappointed in there, 1-0 up and we make it hard for ourselves, we've been doing that too much, we need to start picking it up.
"The gaffer has got high standards and we haven't been meeting them, so we need to start doing that.
"Sloppy goals made it hard for ourselves, it was poor defending. But thankfully we have Danny up front who can score goals and he got us out of it."
Rovers are back in action next Saturday when they travel to the New York Stadium to take on Rotherham United.
