We didn't deserve anything

16 April 2016

Boss Paul Lambert was left to reflect on individual mistakes as Rovers slipped to a disappointing 2-0 defeat by Huddersfield Town.

It was an afternoon to forget for Rovers as Nahki Wells opened the scoring following Shane Duffy's mis-placed header, before the former Bradford's second half header was put into his own net by Matt Kilgallon.

Rovers had opportunities to get back into the game but the opposition goal was rarely tested as the visitors comfortably saw out the match to claim the points.

"We made two mistakes, incredible mistakes," the manger told Radio Rovers.

"I don't know what Shane was trying to do in heading back to Jason but it was a ridiculous decision that cost us the game.

"The second one is just a standard corner that we've been pretty decent at, but we never dealt with it. It summed up our afternoon.

"We huffed and puffed, we had some chances in the second half but we didn't deserve anything from it.

"Huddersfield were quite content to see the game out at 2-0, we never produced the quality that I know we could."

Rovers are back in action this Tuesday night when they travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest.

Tickets are currently on open sale priced at £24 for Adults, £17 for Seniors, £12 for Under-18s and £6 for Under-12s.
