Rovers' Under-21s will be looking to maintain their fine run of results when they take on West Bromwich Albion at Ewood Park this Monday evening.
Damien Johnson's side go into tonight's match having won their last three league outings. After home wins over Wolves and Arsenal, they followed that up with an away victory against Brighton & Hove Albion seven days ago.
With Rovers having two games remaining this season, there's still an outside possibility that the development squad could make the end of season play-offs.
The winners of the division automatically go up, with the teams in the next four places occupying the play-off spots. Rovers are currently 8th in the league, but are just two points off a top-five place.
Tonight's opponents also have an eye on a play-off position as they sit a place above Rovers on goal difference.
West Brom got the better of a tight encounter when the two sides met at Tamworth back in August. A Samir Nabi penalty at the end of the first half securing the win for the Baggies.
Both teams have named youthful line-ups, with just a smattering of first team experience between the sides.
ROVERS: Eastwood, Nyambe, Doyle, Tomlinson, Platt, Wharton (c), Mahoney, Rankin-Costello, Forrester, Hardcastle, Thomson.
