Seagulls next for Under-21s

4 April 2016

Rovers Under-21s are out to make it a hat-trick of victories when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion this Monday night.

Damien Johnson's side make the long journey south, looking to build on their fine recent performances that have seen them defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal in their last two outings.

Victory for Rovers could see them rise as high as fifth in the Barclays U21 Premier League division two table.

The match at Crawley Town's ground sees Rovers looking to do the double over the Seagulls after a 3-0 win at the end of September.

Goals from Chris Taylor, Sacha Petshi and Anton Forrester gave the home side a comfortable evening under the lights at Ewood.

With the first team in action on Tuesday night, a young squad has made the trip, the majority drawn from this season's successful FA Youth Cup side.

ROVERS: Fisher, Travis, Askew, Tomlinsom, Platt, Wharton, Mahoney, Rankin-Costello, Forrester, Hardcastle, J. Doyle.

Subs: C. Doyle, Crump, Carson, Thomson, Mansell.

Kick-off is at 7.00pm.
