Lewis Mansell was on the scoresheet once more as Rovers' Under-18s drew 1-1 away at Reading on Saturday.
The young forward notched his 23rd in all competitions this season to earn Rovers a share of the points at Hogwood Park.
The opening saw Rovers struggle to get into the game, the Royals, who finished second in their league group, dominating the early exchanges.
However once the visitors got into their stride, they grabbed the opening goal on 27 minutes.
Playing on the counter, a quick ball up to Stefan Mols saw the midfielder get in behind the Reading defence and he cut it back for Mansell to fire home first time.
But Rovers weren't able to take the lead into the break as the hosts grabbed an equaliser on 42 minutes.
Keeper Andy Fisher picked up a back-pass from Joe Grayson, and from the resulting free-kick Axel Andresson found the back of the net.
The second half saw Rovers much improved, carving out several excellent openings.
Mansell was twice denied when one on one, whilst fellow forward Tre Pemberton was also thwarted as he raced through on goal.
But despite Rovers' domination, the Royals could have grabbed a winner in the final seconds. A quick throw from the Reading keeper set the hosts two on one, but the forward blazed high over the bar.
"In the first half we struggled to get to grips with the way Reading were playing," said assistant coach Ian Jones.
"But we were really pleased with the way the lads performed in the second half.
"Again we had a young side with nine first year scholars involved, it gives us a really good platform to build on."
