With just five weeks of the season remaining, the aim for Paul Lambert is for Rovers to pick up as many points as possible.

Starting with this lunchtime's match at home to Preston North End, the Rovers boss insists his side won't let up from now until the end of the campaign.

Lambert feels the side have been playing well in recent weeks, with the goal of a healthy haul of points to show for it from the remaining games.

"All we can do is try and win as many games as we can and what will happen will happen," said Lambert.

"I think since the turn of the year we have been playing well. We might not have as many points as I thought we merited but certainly the football is definitely a lot better.

"There is no chance we want to let up, we've got a job to do to try and win as many games as we can.

"We have a lot of people coming to watch us and we have to go and win from now until the end of the season.

"The more games you win the more places you are going to go up. We have eight games to go, we'll start by trying to win on Saturday and see if we can go up again."
