Having made his first start for his boyhood club on Tuesday night, Connor Mahoney is now eager for more.
Manager Paul Lambert handed the 19-year-old his senior debut in Rovers' 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, with the youngster playing some 70 minutes at the City Ground.
"It feels amazing, it has been a long time coming," Mahoney told Rovers PlayerHD.
"I had a taste a few years ago so just to get back out on the pitch and play first team football, I'm really happy.
"I thoroughly enjoyed it and hopefully I can get a few more games under my belt.
"The biggest thing I can take from the game is I know I can play at this level now. I didn't doubt myself before but it was unknown.
"So to come and play, I showed to myself and hopefully a lot more people that I can cope at this level and we'll see what happens from now.
"Now I've had this taste and a start I am so hungry for more. I feel ready but it is up to the gaffer and that is all that matters."
Mahoney and Rovers are back in action at Ewood Park this Saturday when Bristol City are the visitors.
Tickets are on open sale priced from £18 for Adults, £12 Seniors and 18-21 year-olds, and from £7 for Under-17s.
