Rovers boss Paul Lambert was delighted with the displays of the returning Matt Kilgallon and Jason Lowe in Saturday's goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Kilgallon returned to the Rovers starting line-up for the first time since January, whilst Lowe made his first senior outing since August.
Lambert opted to play defender Kilgallon at left back, and although admitting that it isn't his usual position, he was pleased with his performance.
"I just thought it would give us the balance on his natural left side and I thought he did ever so well, I really did," said the manager.
"He's not a normal left back is Matty and it was his first game for a while so that is why I decided to change that.
"He's got good experience and he's a good lad to go with that and I thought he did really well."
The Rovers boss was also delighted to see Lowe back in action after his lengthy injury lay-off.
The former England Under-21 international has missed the majority of the season due to a broken foot, his outing at Molineux his first in almost eight months.
He added: "Jason Lowe came in, I just threw it upon him before the game and I thought he came through it ever so well.
"With Hope pulling out the other day his chance came a little bit earlier than I thought, but Jason was the best bet to come in as Corry is only just back from a knock and so is Lee Williamson."
Rovers are back in action this Saturday when they take on Huddersfield Town at Ewood Park.
Tickets for this match are available in the Blackburn End and Darwen End at the fantastic price of just £10 for Adults, £5 for Seniors and 18-21 year-olds and just £2 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
