Matt Grimes felt the decisions that went against the side in last night's match against Sheffield Wednesday cost them the chance of all three points.
After Craig Conway had headed Rovers in front, a missed foul, a handball, and a hotly disputed sending off all lead to their downfall as the Owls came from behind to win 2-1 at Hillsborough.
Speaking after the match the England Under-21 international admitted the result was tough to take and that they didn't deserve to be on the losing side.
"We feel very hard done by in the dressing room as you can imagine," Grimes told Rovers PlayerHD.
"I thought a couple of decisions went against us for the first goal. I remember laying the ball off to Darragh, feeling a hit and going down. So I thought that was a foul.
"I haven't seen what happened after that but I'm told that Darragh has tried to play it down the line and an arm has come out and it is handball and the next minute it is in the back of your net.
"Then Craig's sending off, I haven't seen it back but the instant reaction was that it wasn't a red card. I think the fans going off and the way the player went down and made the most of it, I think has got in the referee's head and made him make the decision.
"I thought we gave it our all, we never stopped until the final whistle and like I said we we feel hard done by.
"But that is football, we've just got to get on with it and brush ourselves down and go again on Saturday."
