Paul Lambert hopes the big match atmosphere at Hillsborough brings out the best of his side this Tuesday night.

Rovers travel to Sheffield looking to get back to winning ways after their narrow loss at the weekend, with the boss hoping for another good performance.

"There should be a big crowd there on Tuesday and we've always turned up and performed when there's big crowds and things going against us so I expect the same," said Lambert.

"It should be a really good game, we had a really good game with them here when we first came in and I think this will be the same.

"There's been games where I think we should have had more points, especially against the teams that are up there. We've not been consistent enough in certain games.

"But in the bigger games we have performed so hopefully that will be the same."

Despite the disappointment on Saturday, Lambert insists that they'll continue to look to pick up as many points as possible from now until the end of the season, but knows it won't be easy against a side looking to consolidate a top six position.

He added: "We've still got a lot of games to go and we'll try win every game that we play and try and end on a high and see what happens from there.

"We are going up against a team that is up there and we know we are going to have to play well to get anything from the game. But we also know that we are capable of doing it.

"There'll be a big crowd, there'll be an atmosphere, all the things you want in a game, so we'll go there and give it a right go."
