Gary Bowyer knows Rovers need to back up last weekend's win with another positive result on their travels at Hull this Saturday.

There's a feel-good factor in the squad after the 3-0 defeat of Charlton Athletic seven days ago, but the challenge for them now is to back that victory up with another performance and result.

The Rovers boss accepts that a match against Hull City presents them with one of their toughest tasks in the Championship, but they'll be making the trip to the KC Stadium in confidence.

"We've talked about the spirit and the character and how they've gone on even though they haven't been getting the results prior to the last week," said the manager.

"Obviously you notice an extra spring in their step with the win from last weekend, but like I said after it, we aren't going to get carried away, we know it is one game and we've got a hell of a test on Saturday now.

"The challenge for this weekend is to go and put a performance out like we have been doing, but to come away with a result.

"All season the performance levels have been very good and the last two away performances have probably been the best in the time that we have been in charge here.

"There'll be a big crowd there so if we can get our noses in front then that just adds a little bit more to the tension to the home supporters and hopefully we can kick on and see that through.

"There is a lot of confidence flying through the squad and they are really looking forward to Saturday's game.

"It is going to be a tough challenge but one that we are relishing."

Blackburn Rovers supporters should note that tickets for Saturday's match against Hull City will not be available on the day of the game.
