Gary Bowyer has confirmed that the injury sustained by Tommy Spurr in the 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers isn't a bad as first feared.
There was concern when the popular defender was prone in his own penalty area after a 1st minute corner kick, which only grew when he was stretchered off.
But thankfully by half-time Spurr was up and conscious and travelled back north with the rest of the team after the match.
"Fortunately he is up and about," said the manager post-match.
"He has a massive lump on his jaw but thankfully he is okay and we'll just have to monitor how it goes once the swelling has gone down."
