Hope Akpan believes Rovers are finally starting to build some momentum to their play and results.

After a draw at Queens Park Rangers and the win over Charlton Athletic, Saturday's 1-1 draw against Hull City saw Rovers stretch their unbeaten run to three games.

Next up at Ewood this weekend are Ipswich Town, and with another international break following, the midfielder knows it is vitally important that they keep that run going by claiming another positive result.

"I think we are gathering a bit of momentum," Akpan told Rovers PlayerHD.

"We are playing well, we are looking solid at the back and we are creating chances.

"We are just lacking that little bit of luck again, but hopefully before the international break we can get three points at home and that can stand us in good stead for the rest of the season.

"There are a lot of partnerships starting to form, the lads know each other's game, it is coming together so hopefully we can build on the last few weeks, get that vital win on Saturday and kick on."

Akpan knows that it will be another tough match against Mick McCarthy's Tractor Boys, but the midfielder is confident Rovers can get the result.

"We know every game is going to be tough, they are going to be solid like Hull," he added.

"They're a strong, physical team so we have got to have to match them and then try to outplay them and outrun them which is what we can do."

Tickets for the match against Ipswich are currently on open sale priced from £18 for Adults, from £12 for Seniors and 18-21 year-olds, whilst Juniors aged 17 and under can see the game from just £7.
