Rovers will be without Tommy Spurr for the weekend match against Charlton Athletic due to the knock he sustained on Wednesday night at Queens Park Rangers.
The defender was knocked unconscious inside the first minute at Loftus Road after receiving a knee to the face.
Thankfully by half-time Spurr was up and talking, but he won't be available for the Ewood clash with the Addicks, meaning a recall to the starting line-up for Markus Olsson.
"Obviously the one missing is Tommy Spurr because of the fact that he was slightly concussed, although not for very long," said the Rovers boss.
"The experts that we've got here have gone through the right processes and the player's welfare is paramount to us, so he'll be missing which is a shame because of how well he's doing.
"That said, it provides Markus Olsson with the opportunity. I thought he did ever so well when he came on on Wednesday night, so that is the level of competition that we have got.
"Lee Williamson will come back into the squad after a little problem with his back, but he trained yesterday so he's fine.
"But there isn't any movement on Chris Brown or Jason Lowe. Chris is struggling with his knee, but hopefully the treatment that he's had this week will settle it down. With Jason we are just putting a plan together to see the best way forward for him.
"It is a concern, but the experts that we've got here, and the way they are going about it, means that Jason has always got the best care and the best plan to maintain the fitness levels that he's got and to just monitor it.
"Chris Taylor will play in a friendly arranged for him next week, so then he'll be telling us that he is ready."
