Rovers boss Gary Bowyer was full of praise for goal hero Jordan Rhodes.
The Scotland striker scored a late leveller at Hull City on his 150th appearance in Rovers colours.
As the game entered added time, Craig Conway delivered a corner from the left and Rhodes found a yard of space inside the six-yard box to head home.
The 25-year-old has now got five goals in his last four games and 79 in total for the club.
His manager said: "He does exactly what it says on the tin and he does it very, very well.
"He had a header in the first half and you always know he's going to get another chance. He knows that as well and you can't afford to not mark him, it's as simple as that. It's a great finish.
"His goals return for the club is phenomenal. It's a fantastic achievement and the thing is he's far from finished and long may they continue to go in."
Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Rhodes faces one of his former clubs Ipswich Town.
Tickets are currently on open sale priced from £18 for Adults, from £12 for Seniors and 18-21 year-olds, whilst Juniors aged 17 and under can see the game from just £7.
