Danny Guthrie has stressed the importance of building on last weekend's success with a positive result against Hull City on Saturday.

Rovers claimed their first win of the season last time out against Charlton Athletic, but the midfielder knows it will count for little if they can't follow that up against the Tigers.

Guthrie feels Rovers have been playing well without reward this season, but is confident they can now kick on.

"Hopefully the win can take us to the next step," Guthrie told Radio Rovers.

"We must go again, we've a really good game to look forward to and a it will be a good test. It is important that we build on it now, that is the most important thing, we can't rest on our laurels.

"We've got that win now, it was long overdue, now we must put in back-to-back wins and kick on.

"We feel we are close to being a really good team, we've got a lot of good ingredients and a really good work ethic."

Blackburn Rovers supporters should note that tickets for Saturday's match against Hull City will not be available on the day of the game.
