Darragh Lenihan has been named in the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 squad for two forthcoming UEFA Euro 2017 qualifiers.
The young Rover is part of a 22-man squad named by coach Noel King for the games against Lithuania and Italy next month.
Ireland's Under-21s play Lithuania in Waterford on Friday 9th October, before they travel to Vicenza to face Italy four days later.
The Irish go into the matches with a 100% winning record after back-to-back victories over Andorra in their opening two qualifiers. They are currently placed second in Group 2, behind Slovenia on goal difference. The group winners qualify automatically, with the best four group runners-up advancing to the play-offs.
Also receiving a call-up is fellow defender Mark Edgar. The 18-year-old has been named in the Northern Ireland Under-19 squad for two friendly matches against Iceland.
The two games take place in Reykjavik on Friday 9th and Sunday 11th of October.
