Gary Bowyer was delighted after Rovers registered their first win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
A goal at the end of the first half from Jordan Rhodes set Rovers' on their way and the star striker doubled the home advantage after good play from substitute Tom Lawrence.
Lawrence then made the three points safe with an emphatic finish five minutes from time to make it a pleasing afternoon for all concerned.
"First and foremost we are absolutely delighted with the win for the supporters," Bowyer told Radio Rovers after the match.
"I thought they were magnificent from start to finish, they stuck with us throughout.
"The manner of the win was first class, we scored three great goals and it could have been more as I thought their goalkeeper had a great game.
"The first goal was massively important, it gave our players a boost and we kicked on from there.
"When you consider that we travelled up and down to London twice this week and the efforts that the players have put in in those two games, then it is a fantastic performance from them.
"There's relief around the ground, we haven't celebrated a win this season and we had forgotten what that felt like, so I'm delighted for everybody.
"But we can't get carried away, it is one win, we need to now go and perform at a tough place like Hull, so we'll start focusing on that now."
Rovers are back on their travels next Saturday when they face Hull City at the KC Stadium.
