Gary Bowyer welcomes Chris Taylor back into the squad for Saturday's home match against Ipswich Town.
The Rovers midfielder hasn't featured for the first team since sustaining a groin injury last March, before suffering a recurrence of the problem this summer that required an operation.
But after returning in a behind closed doors friendly last week, Taylor followed that up with 75 minutes and a goal for the Under-21s on Monday night,to put himself in contention for this weekend's clash.
"Chris Taylor has done ever so well," said the Rovers boss. "He got another 75 minutes on Monday night and scored, he has trained today so he'll go into the squad.
"We are delighted he is back, he has been missed on the training ground and in the squad. We've just got to make sure that he keeps himself right and works on his recovery all the time."
But whilst Taylor returns to the fold, the manager is likely to be without a host of players for the visit of the Tractor Boys.
Fode Koita and Matt Kilgallon both missed last week's match at Hull City with hamstring strains, whilst Danny Guthrie, who substituted early at the KC Stadium, is likely to miss out with a thigh strain.
"Because of the fact that Danny Guthrie came off so early he probably hasn't made it as bad as it could have been," added Bowyer.
"If he doesn't make Saturday then I certainly expect him to be right after the international break.
"We don't think Fode Koita will be ready either which is disappointing whilst Matt Kilgallon is nursing his hamstring along.
"We aren't blessed with many numbers and with the few that we have out at the moment, it has just stretched us a little bit."
