Jordan Rhodes has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for September.
The Scottish international striker had a standout month, returning from an ankle injury to score five of Rovers' seven goals to lift them into mid-table.
Rhodes notched his first of the campaign from the penalty spot in a narrow 2-1 loss at Fulham, before following that up with an outstanding solo goal as Rovers claimed a share of the points in a 2-2 draw at Queens Park Rangers.
A goal in each half against helped Rovers to a 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic, and he completed September by claiming a last-gasp equaliser as they drew 1-1 with Hull City.
Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough), Nick Blackman (Reading), and Emyr Huws (Huddersfield Town) have also been nominated.
The winners for each league will be announced on the morning of Friday October 9th. The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
