Gary Bowyer believes Jordan Rhodes' goal return is just reward for the hard work he has been putting in.
The Scottish international took his goal tally for the season to seven with a fine brace in Saturday's impressive 2-0 win over Ipswich Town.
Rhodes could have been celebrating more goals as he struck the post with a fierce effort, and only an outstanding save from Dean Gerken prevented him from claiming a first home hat-trick, and the manager is sure that if Rovers continue to create the openings, then the striker will continue to find the back of the net.
"He's reaping the rewards for all the hard work he does," Bowyer told Radio Rovers.
"When you consider that he missed bits of the season and pre-season as well, now he's really firing.
"It is not a shock, the amount of work that he does on the training ground on his finishing, it is outstanding."
"It was an outstanding bit of skill from him after a terrific bit of skill from Corry. He took it early and it was a fantastic effort.
"The team is playing well and creating chances and there is nobody better to get on the end of them."
Rovers are back in action after the international break when they travel to face MK Dons at stadium:MK.
