Boss Gary Bowyer wants Rovers to approach today's lunchtime clash with Burnley in the same manner that earned them a point against Derby County on Wednesday night.

Rovers were much the better of the two sides in midweek against the Rams, and wants to see that same focus and attention applied in the white-hot atmosphere of the local derby at Ewood Park.

The manager knows that Sean Dyche's former Premier League side will pose a strong threat, but insists his team have the confidence and the belief to get the points.

"We are looking forward to the challenge on Saturday because again we are up against a very good side," said the boss.

"Burnley are what they always are, they are very organised, they are very disciplined, they have a way of playing.

"But we've got that ourselves now, we've found new style this season and performance-wise it is working for us, we just need to convert that into more results.

"Everybody has just to concentrate on how we are going to play and what we are going to do to win the game for our supporters.

"On Wednesday night with the way we went about it was unbelievable against a talented Derby team and the same has got to be applied on Saturday.

"You saw from our lads that whoever has the shirt, the commitment, the passion, and the energy is displayed throughout. The spirit and the character that we've got, sometimes you can't buy that.

"The supporters the other night were terrific and there is no doubt that they'll play a massive part for us.

"It is a fabulous game, the atmosphere both home and away is fantastic, there'll be a real passionate atmosphere and it is one that our players are looking forward to and cannot wait to play in."
