Today’s fixture against Ipswich Town has been dedicated to celebrating the work of Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion organisation, as part of its ‘Season of Action’.
Founded in 1993, Kick It Out has altered the landscape of football by educating, raising awareness and campaigning to make the game a more safe, welcoming and comfortable environment, free of all forms of discrimination, prejudiced attitudes and abusive behaviour.
Kick It Out is calling on all professional football clubs and their fans to show their support by downloading the second version of its free reporting app, which gives users the ability to attach video, photo and audio evidence to complaints to aid investigations into discriminatory abuse and behaviour at matches.
Meanwhile, Rovers are launching our own inclusion and anti-discrimination campaign ‘One Rovers’ to reinforce the message that everyone is welcome at Ewood Park and that diversity and inclusion is valued.
Discrimination of any kind is not acceptable and should be reported to a matchday steward or by ringing 01254 508270.
