Sam Joel played a starring role as Bamber Bridge progressed through to the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
The Rovers youngster capped a fine month on loan at the Evo-Stik First Division North side by setting up two goals as Brig defeated Kettering Town 3-2 in their FA Cup replay at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
Bamber Bridge opened the scoring four minutes before the break through Darren Green, but Kettering drew level early into the second half thanks to a Will Grocott goal.
After that it was the Brett Ormerod and Sam Joel show as the young Rover played a great through-ball for the veteran striker to fire home.
However their lead lasted just five minutes as the visitors drew level once more on the hour mark when Dubi Ogbonna curling effort found the back of the net.
But seven minutes from time, fantastic play from Joel once more saw him beat his man before crossing for Ormerod who tapped home to set up a fourth round qualifying clash away at Brackley Town.
