Defensive duo on duty

9 October 2015

Rovers' youngsters Darragh Lenihan and Mark Edgar could both earn international honours this Friday for their respective countries.

Lenihan is with the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 squad, whilst Edgar has joined up with Northern Ireland's Under-19s.

The Republic of Ireland have two UEFA Under-21 qualifiers, the first of which takes place against tonight against Lithuania.

The Irish have a 100% record at the start of their qualification process, having defeated Andorra home and away in their opening two Euro 2017 matches so they'll be eager to maintain their winning run against Lithuania in Waterford.

Following that Ireland travel to Vicenza to take on Italy next Tuesday.

Development squad full back Mark Edgar is away with the Northern Ireland Under-19 squad for two friendly matches against Iceland.

The first game takes place in Reykjavik tonight, with the second game following on Sunday.
