After undergoing a successful operation, boss Gary Bowyer hopes Jason Lowe's injury problems are now behind him.
Earlier this week the former England Under-21 international underwent a second operation on a troublesome foot injury that has plagued the midfielder for the past year and a half.
Lowe picked up the knock in the pre-season of 2014-15, eventually succumbing to the injury at the end of August, but although he returned to the first team in December, he suffered further foot problems in February that required an operation.
The midfielder was back at the start of this season, but following the draw with Bolton Wanderers, Lowe sustained the injury once more which required a further operation.
"I spoke to him on the phone and he is really positive as he is," said Rovers boss Gary Bowyer.
"He is now ready to go through the hard work that is needed to get him back.
"Hopefully this is it now, he can put it to bed and just focus on him playing again for Rovers."
