Rovers boss Gary Bowyer hailed his side's fast start and professional performance after claiming three points away at Leeds United.
The goals came in the opening six minutes at Elland Road as midfielder Craig Conway opened the scoring with less than 18 seconds on the clock.
Jordan Rhodes then doubled Rovers’ lead, scoring his eighth of the season in the sixth minute.
Victory over Leeds was Rovers’ first away win of the Championship season.
It was also their first away win since April, the last coming against Leeds.
“We knew we had to come out and start properly and it was a wonderful start," Bowyer said.
“I thought we were terrific with the ball and very disciplined without it.
“We focused on ourselves and concentrated on producing the level of performances that we have been producing this season. We really concentrated on getting the rewards and we've done that tonight.
“They're an honest bunch and they work hard for each other and I’m delighted for the supporters, they’ve stuck with us and they’ve given us terrific backing.”
Rovers are back on the road next Tuesday night when they take on Birmingham City.
