Gary Bowyer hopes Rovers' injury situation improves ahead of Saturday's match with Burnley.

Rovers were without no less than seven first team players on Wednesday as they put in a hard-working display to earn a point against Derby County.

Craig Conway (ankle) and Matt Kilgallon (back) both missed the Rams clash, but the manager has his fingers crossed that the pair will join Adam Henley in being available for selection.

"We had seven missing against Derby County," said Bowyer on Radio Rovers.

"We'll get Adam back on Saturday and we are hopeful that we'll get a couple more which will be much needed.

"We are stretched as we are and they are the facts of the financial fair play and the embargo, but as you've seen the lads aren't going to use that as an excuse, they are just going to get on with it and work as hard as they can."

Hope Akpan and Ben Marshall both limped off in the closing stages at Ewood Park on Wednesday, but Bowyer is confident that they'll recover in time for the lunchtime match.

He added: "Hope has just a sore groin, so we hope that it settles down.

"With Marshy it was just a dead leg which he got on Monday in training, he got a bang on it again which often happens.

"So we think both should be fine."

Rovers supporters are reminded to get their Burnley tickets in advance as there'll be no sales on the day of the game.
