Paul Lambert hopes to mark his first home game in charge by claiming all three points on Saturday.
Following last week's win over Preston North End, the new Rovers boss takes charge at Ewood Park for the first time when they take on Sheffield Wednesday.
Lambert knows that it is vitally important for the side to win on home soil, and that they'll go into the match full of confidence following the Deepdale victory.
"I think you've got to win your home games, you don't want to have to do it the other way around because the majority of your fans come at home," said the Scot.
"It is great winning on the road and it is a tough league to win away from home, but most of your fans come at home and you've got a duty to entertain them and try everything you can to win a game.
"That is why we will play on the front foot whilst I'm in charge of this club."
The boss admits it will be a tough match against an Owls side that have impressed this season, but with the full backing of the fans behind the team, he is sure Rovers can prevail.
"It is like any other team, it is going to be a really hard game," added Lambert.
"But we are at home, we'll have a big crowd at our back, and we'll be ready for it.
"The game is going to be about us, if we can apply ourselves right, get on that front foot and do what we did last Saturday and can play the way I think we can play then we are going to be right in the game.
"We are under no illusions as to how hard the game will be, but we'll go into the game full of confidence and full of momentum to win."
