Enrol on a Futsal Scholarship and study towards a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport.

Love football and considering a college course? Here’s a chance to turn your GCSEs into goals and gain a BTEC while playing futsal for Blackburn Rovers in the Football League Trust Futsal League.

Launched in the summer of 2013, the Futsal Education Programme provides a perfect pathway into further education through study and by utilising the increasingly popular form of the 'Beautiful Game' - Futsal.
You could be among those to follow in the footsteps of our current scholars, who are well on their way to gaining valuable qualifications, allowing access to university and employment in the sport & leisure industry, while representing Blackburn Rovers.
The one or two-year Futsal Education Scholarship, in partnership with Accrington and Rossendale College, is open to 16-to-18-year-old male and female students.
Course Entry Requirements each person must have:
LEVEL 3 – Minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C, inc English and Maths
LEVEL 2 – Minimum of 5 GCSEs D or above, inc English and Maths
LEVEL 1 – An interest in sport and a desire to improve English and Maths grades
The scholarship, which is based at Ewood Park Stadium using our state-of-the-art learning and sports facilities, will include a full-time education package, which allows our students to:
LEARN: Study towards a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport. Be taught by our qualified and experienced tutors with over 10 year's experience. We also deliver Level 1 and 2 courses in sport.
TRAIN: A minimum of 4 hours regular Futsal coaching to develop technical, tactical and physical ability. Be coached by UEFA A Licensed and Futsal Level 2 coaches who are also ex-professional footballers.
PLAY: Be a part of the action by representing Blackburn Rovers in the Football League Trust Futsal League against clubs such as Burnley, Leeds United, Preston North End, Accrington Stanley and Blackpool to name but a few. There will be multiple Blackburn Rovers' teams, so plenty of game time for everyone!
EARN: Open the door to careers in the sports industry and potential employment opportunities at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.
