Rovers Under-21s are back in action this Wednesday afternoon when they take on Everton in the quarter-finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup.
Damien Johnson's side reached this stage of the competition courtesy of a penalty shootout win following a 3-3 draw away at Barrow, whilst the Toffees overcame Preston North End 3-0 in their opening round match.
Rovers go into today's match in excellent form, the win over Barrow in the previous round sparking an upturn in results for the development squad.
Since that penalty shootout victory, the Under-21s have won four of their last five league outings, including victories over Stoke City and Wolverhampton Wanderers just last week.
David Raya, Darragh Lenihan, Sacha Petshi and John O'Sullivan, who all travelled with the first team, but played no part in the 0-0 draw at Birmingham last night, are all in the squad for today's match.
ROVERS: Raya, Nyambe, Doyle, Tomlinson, Lenihan, Wharton (c), Thomson, Petshi, Forrester, O'Sullivan, Mahoney.
Subs: Mansell, Crump, Platt, Tanner, Carson.
EVERTON: Hewelt, Kenny, Connolly, Ledson, Browning, Holgate, Charsley, Williams, Rodriguez, Evans, Henen.
Subs: Duffus, Griffiths, Walsh, Dyson, Davies.
The match at the Rovers Academy down at Brockhall, kicks off this lunchtime at 1.00pm. All supporters are welcome.
