Rovers' development squad are back in cup action this lunchtime when they take on Burnley in the Under-21 Premier League Cup.

The round of 32 tie takes place behind closed doors at Turf Moor, kicking off at 1.00pm.

Damien Johnson's side will be looking to progress in the competition after they reached the final last season. Only losing out to Southampton after extra-time as they went down 2-1 on aggregate in the two-legged final.

Whilst Rovers enter the competition at this stage, today's opponents have already played two rounds. The Clarets kicked off with a 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic, before following that up with a 3-1 home win over Barnsley.

The Under-21s go into today's match after being knocked out of the Lancashire Senior Cup by Everton last Wednesday, their first defeat in four outings after a hat-trick of league victories.

Team news will be confirmed closer to kick-off with Rovers expecting to name a young side once more.

Rovers PlayerHD subscribers will be able to watch the full 90-minute replay of the game later, whilst highlights of the match will be available on YouTube. Live updates will be provided via twitter and the website.
