Paul Lambert has admitted he can't wait to get started at Blackburn Rovers after being unveiled as the club's new manager this morning.
The 46-year-old is relishing the prospect of managing the team after putting pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal.
"It is great to be here, there's a good feeling about it and I can't wait to get going," Lambert told Rovers Player.
"I'm excited to get into training again and I'm excited for the game on Saturday.
"I've had nine months out and I've enjoyed it but now is the time to go back in."
Lambert admitted he had butterflies this morning as he headed to Ewood Park for the first time to meet the media.
"You always have that when you start a new job because you don't know many people and you have to find your feet," he added.
"I've got a really backroom staff behind us and now the next stage is to meet the players and we'll do that this afternoon.
"There is a good infrastructure here, it has got the stadium which is perfect and the training ground is excellent.
"We just need to get a team that can play well and try and win games and I think if we can do that then we've got a chance.
"We will do everything we can to entertain the fans, we'll do everything we can to win games, the players need the fans, there is no doubt about it, they've got to get behind us and we will do everything we can to reward them."
Lambert will be roared on by 5500 Rovers fans in his first game in charge on Saturday. The last remaining tickets for the match against Preston North End were sold this morning.
