Preston North End and Lancashire Police have issued advice for supporters ahead of Saturday’s match with Rovers.
Fans attending the game should note that there will be additional searches at the turnstiles including the use of dogs to detect any pyrotechnic devices, flares, fireworks etc.
With a large crowd and the increased searches, there may be a delay for fans accessing the stadium, therefore all supporters are asked to allow extra time and to arrive early.
Any fans engaging in disorder or found to be in possession of pyrotechnic devices will be liable for a substantial ban by the club, irrespective of any other actions initiated by the police or courts.
Should any Rovers supporters attend without tickets they will be turned away. Both stewards and the police will be conducting ticket checks around the stadium vicinity.
In order to facilitate the safe dispersal of all supporters from the ground at the end of the match, Lancashire Constabulary and Preston North End would ask all Rovers supporters to remain in their seats for ten minutes after final whistle.
