Gary Bowyer was pleased to see Fode Koita back in action in the midweek draw with Birmingham City.
A hamstring strain had sidelined the summer signing for the past six weeks, but he made a welcome substitute appearance for the first team at St. Andrew's.
The timing of the Frenchman's return couldn't be better for the manager, having been unsuccessful in his search for striking reinforcements.
"We've been frustrated in the last week or so in trying to get somebody in on loan, it hasn't happened for us," said Bowyer.
"So you are mindful of the fact that we could do with something different up front so we are delighted that he is back.
"We couldn't rush him too much because he hasn't trained that much with us. But we'll get through the game on Saturday against Brentford and then obviously we've got a two-week break from games.
"That will give us the opportunity to get him really up to speed for us."
