Jordan Rhodes will come up against old friends when he takes to the field against Brentford at Ewood Park on Saturday.
The Rovers top scorer spent an enjoyable six months with the Bees as a youngster, scoring 7 goals in 14 appearances to help Brentford clinch promotion from League 2 in 2008/09.
"I've still got a good few friends there," said the striker. "I went there when I was 18, it was really good, I really enjoyed it, they made it really worthwhile for me.
"Looking back on my career and where things turned, going there as a young pro, playing League 2 football, rough and ready football was great for me.
"We weren't up the table at the time but over that course of three or four months before I got injured I really enjoyed it. I do look back with fond memories."
Rhodes feels that with the way Rovers are playing that they can get the better of Brentford on Saturday.
After two successful results on the road at Leeds United and Birmingham City, the 25-year-old believes that if they can perform to the same level back at Ewood Park then it will cap a good week.
"Four points in two away games is a decent return and it sets us up nicely for the game against Brentford," he added.
"So hopefully if we can come out like we have been doing in the last couple of games when we play Brentford then we'll be okay."
