Paul Lambert has called on a couple of familiar Rovers faces to be part of his backroom team.
Former player and and Reserve team coach Alan Irvine will be Lambert's assistant manager, whilst Rob Kelly, who had spells coaching the Under-19s and the Reserves, will take over as first team coach.
Laurence Batty, who worked with Lambert at both Wycombe Wanderers and Norwich City, has also joined as the club's new goalkeeper coach.
Lambert admitted the Rovers connections were by chance but he reserved plenty of praise for his new colleagues.
"It's just the way it has worked out," he said.
"Alan I've known from the West Brom and Aston Villa kind of days and Rob I knew a little bit of.
"Everybody knows Alan and Rob from being here before, they have an affinity with the football club, they know what it is like and they know what the stadium is like.
"Laurence Batty, I've brought in from when I worked with him at Wycombe and Norwich, he knows the way I work and I think I've got a really good backroom team that is strong."
