Gary Bowyer was left with mixed emotions after Rovers recorded a goalless draw with Birmingham City.
The manager was delighted to see his side record another clean sheet, but was disappointed that they couldn't make more of the chances that came their way.
Tom Lawrence fired wide when well placed in the first half, whilst Shane Duffy struck the crossbar in the second. But at the other end the back four defended stoutly to ensure a share of the points.
"I think overall we've had a massive compliment shown to us by Birmingham City by the way that they set up," said the Rovers boss.
"They were the home team but they got bodies behind the ball and looked to pick us off on the counter.
"We had the two key moments in the game. Tom Lawrence's chance in the first half which was a great bit of skill from him, but it was just missing that little bit of composure at the end.
"Then the break away is just decision making from him but that comes with age and experience.
"To have six clean sheets in the last eleven games is impressive and we'd have took four points out of six before we started on the road, yet there is a hint of frustration and disappointment with that.
"So it is important that we follow it up on Saturday."
After the two away matches Rovers return to Ewood Park this Saturday when Brentford are the visitors.
