Blackburn Rovers Ladies will reintroduce a development squad for the 2015-16 season to support the growth of the first team, who finished third in the FA Women’s Premier League last season.

The Reserves will train alongside the Ladies twice a week and play Sunday afternoon fixtures in the FA Women’s Premier Reserve Division (North).

Players will be provided with top-class training facilities, including Blackburn Rovers’ Senior Training Centre, and will have access to medical attention at both training sessions and on matchdays.

Furthermore, to support the education and football development of each player, the club are teaming up with Darwen Aldridge Community Academy.

As a Rovers player, you can study and train with the team, combining a bespoke educational programme to suit your chosen study pathway.

This may include A Levels and/or BTEC qualifications. The football programme will include regular training sessions on-site, using the superb Sixth Form facilities.

The training programme will concentrate on the Futsal aspect of training and you will be entered into the monthly regional Futsal competition at the purpose built Leeds National Futsal Arena.

Trials will take place on Tuesday 16th and Tuesday 30th June from 7.30pm-9.30pm at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy.

For further information, please contact Gemma Donnelly - (Head of Women & Girls Elite football at Blackburn Rovers), or Hilary Lunn - for more details on the Girls Futsal programme.
