Work on the Ewood Park pitch has begun in earnest in advance of the start of the 2015-16 season in August.
The diggers moved in this morning to mark the start of pitch works to get a perfect playing surface ready for the new campaign.
The first match to be played at Ewood Park will be the pre-season friendly against Wigan Athletic on Saturday 1st August, with the Sky Bet Championship league season getting underway the following week.
