Hanley back for Rovers

7 May 2015

Grant Hanley makes a welcome return to action this afternoon when the Under-21s take on Bolton Wanderers at Brockhall.

The Rovers captain has missed the last ten weeks with a calf injury but will get a run out at the Academy as the Under-21s end their 2014-15 campaign - kick-off 2.00pm.

Hanley is one of ten changes from the side that lost to Newcastle United less than 48 hours ago, with coach Eric Kinder handing several youngsters their debuts for the development squad.

Andrew Fisher gets his first outing in goal, whilst defenders Lewis Travis and Scott Wharton make their debuts at this level. Willem Tomlinson also makes his first Under-21 start.

After a successful last few weeks, the young Rovers blotted their copybook with Tuesday defeat at Newcastle, so they'll be looking to finish their campaign with a win against the Trotters.

ROVERS: Fisher, Travis, Edgar, Hardcastle (c), Hanley, Wharton, Cham, Tomlinson, Mansell, Tanner, Wall.

Subs: Rittenberg, Crump (GK), Lavelle, Thomson, Mahoney.

Kick-off at the Rovers Academy is at 2.00pm, all supporters are welcome.
