Country call for King

28 May 2015

Joshua King has been named in the Norway squad for two international matches at the beginning of June.

Norway face near-neighbours Sweden in a friendly match at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on Monday 8th June, before a home Euro 2016 qualifier against Azerbaijan the following Friday 12th June.

The Norwegians are currently third in their qualifying group, two points behind Italy and a further two behind leaders Croatia, so they'll need three points against Azerbaijan to improve their chances of reaching next summer's finals in France.

King, who has been capped 15 times for the national side, missed two months of action for Rovers at the end of the 2014-15 season due to a hamstring strain, but returned as a substitute in the final two games of the campaign.
