We're stretched but we'll deal with it

Boss Gary Bowyer will hold a roll call on Monday to determine who is fit to face Brentford at Ewood Park on Tuesday night.

Whilst Rovers impressed in Saturday's 3-1 win over Charlton Athletic, the down side was three further injuries to an already stretched squad.

Rovers went into the match at the Valley without seven first team players after Matt Kilgallon and Markus Olsson failed fitness tests. They then suffered further as Craig Conway, Lee Williamson and Doneil all limped off.

The blue and whites brushed that aside to record a third league win in a row, and the manager knows they'll have to show the same desire against Brentford at Ewood Park in two days time.

"Craig Conway, straight away after he scored felt his hamstring, Willo felt his groin, and Doneil has felt his hamstring a little bit as well," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"Kilgallon has a bit of a hip/groin problem, Markus with his hamstring, so the medical team are working overtime now.

"We've just got to get on with it. Whoever we bring in, whoever gets the shirt just carries it on.

"We are stretched but those are the cards we've been dealt with at this stage and we've just got to deal with it.

"We'll see after the weekend who will be fit and available for Tuesday's game. We've got to get through two more games now and then they've got a break and they'll have fully earned that break.

"But we've got two games first and we want to finish them as strong as we can."
