Rovers could be without eight first team regulars for the visit of Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend at Ewood Park.
An already stretched squad was hit further in midweek with the news that loan defender Doneil Henry is out for the season, whilst Craig Conway will be absent for a fortnight.
Training has been light since the Brentford match, with boss Gary Bowyer keen not to exacerbate the current injury situation - especially with an international break around the corner.
"You've got to be sensible obviously," said the Rovers manager.
"We've been in today and the ones who have played all the games have been very light. The ones who are on the fringe and the subs just had a top-up session really, nothing more than that. It was nearly a 'no tackling' game this morning.
"We hope to get one back for the weekend, they've trained today and we'll see how they recover tomorrow and make sure they are alright and go back into a stretched squad."
The boss hopes for better news on the injury by the time the games against Leeds and Liverpool come around, but insists no player will be rushed back.
"Apart from Duffy and Lowe, we expect the others to come back," added Bowyer.
"But I think what is important is you don't rush them and cause more damage. It has got to be sensible, when they are ready they are ready.
"We don't want to rush them and lose them for the rest of the season, we can't be doing anything daft like that."
Ben Marshall should be okay for Saturday's match after coming off during the second half of Tuesday night's game against Brentford with a gash on his leg.
Tickets for Saturday's match are prices are from £17 for Adults, from £11 for Seniors and Students, and from just £6 for Juniors aged 16 and under.
