Jason Steele feels that Rovers' experiences in the recent draw away at Bournemouth should stand them in good stead for Sunday's match against Liverpool.
The Rovers goalkeeper kept a clean sheet last weekend at the Goldsands Stadium, and Steele believes that the way they performed on that afternoon could be useful at Anfield.
"I think the game will be very similar," said Steele.
"The way Liverpool play are quite similar to the way Bournemouth play. They are very spread out they move and pass and it is obviously great to watch.
"So it is going to be a similar game for us, we are going to have to work hard and at times we are going to have to stay in the game and ride our luck.
"Hopefully we can do a similar performance and come out on top and get ourselves to Wembley."
