Two of Rovers’ senior backroom staff visited Ribblesdale High School as part of the school’s ‘Science Week’.
Organised through the club’s Community Trust, Rovers’ Head of Athletic Performance Chris Neville and Lead Athletic Performance Coach Chris Rush were invited down to talk to the youngsters about how science is used in football.
“It was a very enjoyable day for everyone,” said Neville. “The kids were very receptive to what we were showing them, which was great.
“We had a chat about the impact that science has had in football and did a little practical with them to show them first hand.
“The teachers said it was the quietest they had seen them in a long time! So hopefully they got something from it.”
