Gary Bowyer paid tribute to everyone of a blue and white persuasion after Rovers held Liverpool to a goalless draw at Anfield.
Roared on by almost 6000 Rovers fans, their heroes did them proud with an outstanding display against the in-form Reds.
The Rovers boss was rightly delighted to have held Brendan Rogers' men, to ensure both names will be in the hat for Monday evening's draw, and a return match at Ewood next month.
"My emotion is one of immense pride," said a beaming Gary Bowyer after the match.
"This year in the cup the players have proved themselves to be very disciplined and very hard working and you saw that effort today.
"Their character shone through and it wasn't just our defending which really, really pleased me, I thought we had some really good opportunities, first half especially.
"The players looked like they really enjoyed themselves and I think that came from the backing that they got.
"Even after the warm up the players were commenting on the support they received.
"You know when you come here you aren't going to get much of the ball, so when there were opportunities to win it back we were spot on.
"The players carried out the plan to a tee and as a result of it we were in the game and created chances.
"I'm really proud for them and I'm delighted for the supporters as well."
It is expected that the replay at Ewood Park will be around the 7th/8th April, full confirmation will made in due course.
