Duo on duty

26 March 2015

Rovers youngsters Darragh Lenihan and Mark Edgar will both be hoping to represent their respective countries later this Thursday.

Lenihan, who has returned from a loan spell with Burton Albion to be part of Gary Bowyer's first team squad, is with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad. Whilst Edgar, who recently moved up to be part of the Rovers reserves, is with Northern Ireland's Under-19s.

The Republic of Ireland start their 2017 UEFA U21 Championships qualifying campaign with a home match against Andorra at Waterford, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Irish are grouped with Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Lithuania and Andorra.

Northern Ireland have two Under-19 friendly matches over the next two days.

This evening they face their Dutch counterparts at the Sportpark Zegersloot, before a match against AZ Alkmaar's Under-19s two days later.
