Gary Bowyer knows Brentford will provide a stern test of their credentials when the two sides go head to head this evening.
Rovers were on the wrong end of a 3-1 loss at Griffin Park back in December, and the manager knows they'll have to do better in the rematch at Ewood tonight.
Bowyer hasn't been surprised by Mark Warburton's side this season and he fully expects them to be in the shake-up at the end of the season.
"I thought when we played them just before Christmas they played ever so well," said the Rovers boss.
"Having watched the videos prior to that game and now they have continued in the same vein of form.
"Mark has done a great job there getting them promoted and getting them playing the way they are now.
"I fully expect them to be up there at the end of the season, they spent well in the summer and he's got some quality players at his disposal."
There is likely to be two familiar faces in the Bees squad this evening with former Rovers' Academy graduates Jonathon Douglas and Alan Judge now at Brentford.
The Rovers boss has been impressed with the pair this campaign and knows that they'll have to be kept in check at Ewood Park.
Bowyer added: "I think Jonathon Douglas has been probably one of the best players in the Championship this season.
"Whenever I have seen him and the contribution that he has made to that team has been quality.
"And Judger we know all about as well because of his spell with us, so those two, along with the rest of the team, will be trying to get three points against us."
